About Off Square Music

Off Square Music is a 501 (C)(3) , not-for-profit corporation, established in January of 2003 for the promotion, preservation and enjoyment of folk music. OSM is an organization of volunteers who wish to share the folk music art with others in many different ways. We invite the public to be a part of the experience.

We sponsor several types of events in and around the Woodstock area. An open mic night is held twice monthly at the Stage Left Café in the Woodstock Opera House, 125 Dean St. Check the open mic section for dates. The event is popular with budding and seasoned artists alike, and the audience is warm and receptive with the emphasis on sharing songs and having a great time. As an added bonus, a featured artist(s) performs midway through the evening.

Other special music events will be announced throughout the year that will be varied and fun. Everyone may be invited to a CD release party or to a folk concert by an artist who is traveling through the area. Check this site to stay updated on such events.

Beyond this, we also help coordinate the Woodstock Harvest Festival on the third Sunday of September. There is a fiddle contest, guitar contest and banjo contest. There is also an acoustic music jam and an open mic. The day is filled with music and fun for the entire family.

Wherever we are, whatever the occasion, everyone at Off Square Music looks forward to seeing you at one of our folk music events. Become a part of the dynamic, educational, and entertaining experience. Take a song or a memory home with you. And please let us know what you think! Visit our forum and post your thoughts.
