Stage Left Open Mic, Randy Anderson featured performer, comes up FRIDAY, January 13, 2022 (Yes, we’re back to our original day of the week, Friday evening!). Save the date, 7:00 pm/CST (doors open 6:30 pm CST). Please join us at Stage Left Cafe, 125 Van Buren St., Woodstock, on the historic Woodstock Square.
Our Stage Left Open Mics are now Hybrid Events so you can enjoy us from home if you can’t get into the Square. Either way, these monthly events offer a delightful evening of music and friendship. We hope to see you — performing or enjoying the performances.
Stage Left Open Mic – Randy Anderson featured performer in January
Randy Anderson is a self-taught guitar player who performs folk music, acoustic guitar with pickup. He likes to perform humorous and sometimes what he calls “off-the-wall” songs, but he also likes serious ones. He is a member of the Lake County Folk Club and occasionally opens for their monthly concert.
Randy spent most of his life in Central Illinois near Peoria, retiring in 2009. He and his wife have been married for 50 years. They moved to the Woodstock area a few years ago to be near their kids and grandkids.
Randy and Off Square Music
Randy is a regular at the Stage Left Open Mic and Every Saturday Virtual Open Mic. He also plays at the events of other local organizations, most recenly at the Lake County Folk Club Acoustic Concert. Here’s a sample performance from our own Off Square Music Video Gallery:

What is the Stage Left Open Mic?

These Open Mics, brought to you by Off Square Music, are monthly events on 2nd Wednesdays in Woodstock. Performers — musicians, singers, poets, and others — come together to connect with a live audience in a wonderful, family-friendly environment.
Whether you’re just starting out as a performer or are a seasoned veteran, our audience provides a supportive atmosphere. Stage Left, part of the Woodstock Opera House, adds to that ambiance with an exceptional performance space and sound system.
Off Square Music requests a $5.00/pp suggested donation to support our many music activities, including these Stage Left Open Mic nights.
Important note to all performers and attendees
Masks are currently optional, and we do not require proof of vaccination. Please be thoughtful of your neighbors.
