December Stage Left Open Mic Features Brian Murphy, Joe Pesz, Rich Prezioso

Brian Murphy, leader of Arranmore, played with the Stage Left Overs in Woodstock and for Music at the MarketSundays on the Square1st Wednesday Concert Series at Stage Left Cafe (formerly 4th Fridays), and Stage Left Open Mics.

Joe Pesz is a well-known figure in Woodstock music circles. He is on the board of Off Square Music and as part of it involved in organizing and promoting music in the area.

Joe was part of a well-known and much-loved band in the Woodstock area, the Stage Leftovers. The Leftovers (Pete Jonnson, George Koester, Brian Murphy, Laurel Palma, Joe Pesz, Rich Prezioso, Les Urban, and Joe Wadz) played twice monthly for more than 12 years at Stage Left Cafe.

Interviewing experience? Joe got lots of it chatting with musicians as host of Woodstock Roundup, a radio program modelled on Prairie Home Companion that he introduced on Harvard Community Radio.

Rich Prezioso has played blues, country, folk, and rock in no particular order as a solo and in both acoustic and electric bands. He studied classical guitar and composition, and worked for five years as a jingle writer in Chicago, writing music for Cap’n Crunch Cereal, Gatorade, and Domino’s Pizza, among others. He has gained a reputation as a songwriter and as a “guitar whiz” for his multi-styled approach to the instrument.

With Jacquie Manning, he is Small Potatoes. He is on the board of Off Square Music and has played numerous Off Square Music events. He was also a member of The Stage Leftovers and Arranmore.
