Bad Penny is fast becoming a favorite local performing group. They regularly perform at Off Square Music events and local pubs including Ortmann’s Red Iron Tavern and Main St. PourHouse in Woodstock, Salerno’s in McHenry, Wok n Fire in St. Charles, and Rookies All-American Pub & Grill in Geneva.

With Bad Penny, local harmonies take center stage. One enthusiastic visitor said about them: “Flew in from Texas to visit family and saw these guys at Ortmann’s on 9/21. We were sitting out in the large outdoor area and could only hear the band at first. Vocal harmonies were so tight that l thought the singer used a harmonizer. I was blown away when l walked up to get a beer and realized it was a real three-part harmony! Great singers, tight players, and a fantastic playlist. I especially liked their version of Ventura Highway by America. I wish our group could have stayed for more!”
