Johnny Norris got his first guitar in 1969. He majored in music in college and performed with the Augustana Choir for two years.
Since college, Johnny performed with various bands in Illinois and Iowa. He spent 19 years in Nashville writing and performing original songs. Starting in 2000, he played the Bluebird Cafe* regularly (next date 11/13/22). Moved to McHenry County in 2018.
Johnny has also played at several Stage Left Open Mics.
*The Bluebird Cafe located in Nashville, TN, is one of the world’s preeminent listening rooms that over the past 39 years, has gained worldwide recognition as a songwriter’s venue where the “heroes behind the hits” share their stories and perform their original songs.
