First Saturday for October happened this week, and it was a special one. Steve and Sylvia Francois attended and we were able to make a down payment on our go-fund me campaign to help them with medical expenses associated with Steve’s health. I just want to let everyone know that the go-Fund me campaign is ongoing. Our goal is $20,000 and we are about 70% of the way there. If you are just hearing of this or have the means to give more, please consider helping in this worthwhile cause. It is a gift to have the means to give. Please share this message with others who know Steve and Sylvia or have fond memories of those Mast House days.

Off Square Music will be resuming our 4th Friday Concert series in October in place of the second open mic night at Stage Left Cafe, 125 Van Buren St. on the historic Woodstock Square. See Events Calendar.
On Friday, Oct. 25, Sammy from Miami and the Roadkill Rangers will perform at 7:30 p.m. The group features the wonderful bluegrass-style guitar picking of Sam Byerly. Suggested donation is $10.
On Friday, Nov. 23, Small Potatoes will perform at 7:30 p.m.The Spuds (as they are known) are Rich Prezioso and Jacquie Manning; they’ve traveled the world making music in styles ranging from cowboy to Celtic. $15 suggested donation.
In December, Off Square will have one open mic on December 13th. There will not be an event on December 27th. New Year’s Eve Open Mic Night will return on Tuesday, December 31st. Suggested donation $5.
